Privacy Manifests

In 2023, Apple introduced privacy manifests. These help developers understand how third-party SDKs use data.

New or updated apps that add certain third-party libraries must include their compliant privacy manifests, or Apple will reject those apps.

However, on April 26, 2024, Apple released a policy update notifying developers that those libraries that are not on its list of SDKs that require a privacy manifest and signature are not required to provide a compliant privacy manifest. This means that ad network SDKs are exempt from the requirements.
